As per a report, traders in Haridwar protested at Chandracharya Chowk following a robbery at Balaji Jewellery showroom, where ornaments worth ₹5 crore were stolen.
The shop is located just 50 meters from a police checkpost. The protesters demanded the full recovery of the stolen items, criticizing the police for lax vehicle checks.
Haridwar police have formed multiple teams to track the suspects, believed to be professionals with previous criminal attempts in Himachal Pradesh. The Uttarakhand STF is assisting in the investigation.
