Founded by Vijayakumar and led by MD Venkatesh, the new Ratna Collection features silver jewellery that merges traditional craftsmanship with modern design, tailored for the festive spirit of Diwali.
Since opening its first outlet in Coimbatore in 2020, Vilva has specialized in premium gold-plated silver jewellery, offering handcrafted pieces such as Odiyaanams (hip-belts), Harams, bangles, and earrings.
The brand emphasizes 92.5 Hallmark silver, ensuring quality while appealing to those seeking affordable luxury.
Vijayakumar highlighted the craftsmanship of their gold-plated silver pieces, claiming that they are nearly indistinguishable from solid gold.
With over 1,500 designs for hip-belts alone, these versatile accessories have become a hallmark of Vilva Jewels.
The jeweller also offers a buy-back scheme for silver pieces at 20% above the market rate, catering to customer investment concerns.
Currently, Vilva operates its flagship store in Coimbatore, an outlet at Coimbatore International Airport, and a new branch in Anna Nagar, Chennai, with plans for expansion into Madurai.
Notably, Vilva is the first retail jewellery shop in India to stock 1,000 kg of silver jewellery.
