The 19th edition of the IGI D Show, held at the Grand Hyatt Goa from June 26th to 28th, 2024, concluded with notable success, cementing its place as a crucial event in the diamond industry.
Per a report by Indian Jeweller, 43 diamantaires showcased over 100,000 designs to more than 100 retailers from India and countries, including the GCC, Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, and Malaysia.
The IGI D Show provided a significant platform for Indian diamond jewelry manufacturers to network and build essential trade relationships. “This was a great networking event with Indian diamond manufacturers and their exquisite designs,” said Ediz Dereli, owner of Ediz Dereli from Turkey, per the report.
The event in Goa follows the success of an earlier IGI D Show in Dubai, which drew top manufacturers from India and the Middle East. Tehmasp Printer, CEO of IGI, emphasized the show’s strategic role.
“The D Show aims to provide an intimate and exclusive circle for buyers and sellers to meet, acknowledge trust, and explore business opportunities,” Printer stated, per the report.
Participants praised the event’s impact. Shailesh Sanghani, owner of Priority Jewels, remarked in the report, “Participating in the IGI D Show has been a great experience,” Sanghani said. “We thank the IGI team for organizing this event, which helped us connect with multiple retailers and boost sales for the festive season.”
“We thank the IGI team for organizing a wonderful show where we could exhibit our collections to international and Indian retailers and build trade relations,” Vikas Mehta, Director at Achal Jewels, added in the report.
The event highlighted the resilience and creativity within the diamond industry and pointed towards future growth and collaboration. An IGI spokesperson noted.
Looking forward, the next edition of the IGI D Show is scheduled for November 2024 in Goa, promising another valuable experience for industry professionals and stakeholders.
