Zen Diamond, a prominent Turkish diamond jewelry retailer with over 400 stores globally, has entered the Indian market with the opening of its flagship store in Mumbai’s Bandra West.
As per a report in ANI, the company’s chairman, Emil Guzelis, has partnered with Neil Sonawala to spearhead Zen Diamond’s operations in India.
The brand aims to differentiate itself in the competitive Indian jewelry market through its focus on meticulous craftsmanship and unique features, such as hidden diamonds in each piece.
The report added that Zen Diamond collaborated with international designers to offer stylish, high-quality jewelry at accessible prices. Items start from Rs 15,000 for diamond pieces and Rs 3,000 for fashion accessories.
Sonawala noted that Indian consumers are increasingly seeking a blend of traditional and modern designs in their diamond jewelry, with a preference for pieces that can be worn daily and for special occasions.
Per the release, Zen Diamond offers a range of options, from signature collections to bespoke designs, to cater to these preferences.
Aligning with the Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, the company plans to design and manufacture collections locally through its joint venture with Antalia Jewellery Pvt. Ltd. This approach aims to combine global quality standards with modern Indian sensibilities.
The report stated that Zen Diamond has ambitious expansion plans for the Indian market.
Guzelis revealed that the company intends to open five stores in Mumbai and expand to 100 self-operated and franchise stores across India within the next seven years.
Future locations include Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur.
The flagship store is located at Unit 1, Ground floor, 36 Turner Road, Bandra (West), Mumbai, and is open seven days a week from 11 am to 9 pm.
Zen Diamond offers flexible exchange and return policies as part of its customer service strategy, aiming to build long-term customer loyalty in the Indian market.
