Leicester, UK–Malabar Gold & Diamonds, the world’s sixth-largest jewelry retailer, has opened its second showroom in the UK, located in Leicester, per a report by PTI.
The event, held on July 5, 2024, was attended by Leicester City Mayor Peter Soulsby and senior executives from Malabar Gold & Diamonds, including Shamlal Ahamed, Managing Director of International Operations, and Mohammed Ziad, Head of Operations for the UK and Europe.
The new showroom on Leicester’s Belgrave Road, known as the Golden Mile, covers 2,000 square feet and features over 20,000 jewelry designs from 20 countries.
The collection includes bridal wear, occasional jewelry, daily wear, and office wear, crafted in gold, diamonds, and precious gemstones.
The company is committed to expanding its retail presence and is exploring new markets, including South Africa, Egypt, Bangladesh, Turkey, and New Zealand. This strategy aims to promote India’s heritage of craftsmanship on a global scale.
